On March 14, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan, N. Gollyev, met with the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, T. Ibraev. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on the meeting.
Both sides expressed mutual interest in expanding and deepening bilateral partnership in the energy sector and trade. The possibility of implementing joint projects in the oil and gas industry was discussed. Special attention was paid to the development of trade and economic cooperation.
The diplomats discussed the activities of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kyrgyz Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Humanitarian Cooperation. At the end of the meeting, Minister T. Ibraev expressed gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the humanitarian assistance provided.
