Solar Power Stations in Samarkand and Jizzakh recently connected their first blocks to Uzbekistan's power grid. The exclusive supply of 11,248 sets of Vanguard 1P sun tracking systems and the digital SCADA platform Trina Smart Cloud for these two projects were provided by TrinaTracker.
TrinaTracker is a leading supplier of intelligent sun tracking systems under Trinasolar's management. The Vanguard 1P trackers used in the stations in Samarkand and Jizzakh are known for their ability to adapt to hilly terrain, ensuring high levels of electricity generation and outstanding reliability. The innovative design and patented spherical bearings reduce installation time by 20%.
The project development and construction of both stations were carried out by Dongfang Electric Corporation on behalf of Masdar. The total installed capacity of the project is 511 MW.
TrinaTracker signed the contract for this project in April 2023. This is the company's second major project in Uzbekistan after the Navoi solar power station, launched in 2021. After the enterprises are fully connected to the grid, they will generate 1.12 billion kWh of electricity per year, powering 240,000 households and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 1 million tons per year.
The Uzbekistan State Energy Development Plan for 2020-2030 aims to create five GW of additional capacity through solar energy. The country's favorable location and abundant solar radiation contribute to the transition to solar energy.
In recent years, the government has actively developed the sector, attracting investments and creating new capacities for producing "green energy." Many solar and wind power stations have already been put into operation, along with solar panels on social facilities and residential buildings. Incentives for entrepreneurs and stimulation programs for the population support the use of solar energy.
Trinasolar offers a range of 2P and 1P trackers, as well as its innovative Fix Origin fixation system, allowing customers to choose the necessary configuration for each individual project.
Established in 1997, Trinasolar Co., Ltd. focuses on developing photovoltaic products and systems, as well as smart energy solutions. The company aims to be a top player in smart solar energy solutions and energy storage systems to create a zero-emission future.
Trinasolar was listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board (Star Market) of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on June 10, 2020, becoming one of the first companies in the solar energy and energy storage sector to enter the STAR market.
This success marks an important milestone for TrinaTracker in supporting the energy transition in Central Asia, continuing to drive clean energy development through innovation.
