Professional boxer Israel Madrimov from Uzbekistan, who recently won the WBA (World Boxing Association) world title in the first middleweight category (up to 69.9 kg), has received a two-room apartment as a gift from the head of the Khorezm region, Jurabek Rakhimov.
The news was announced by Nodira Jumaniozova, the head of the main sports development department of the region, who mentioned that they have been in constant contact with Madrimov, wishing him luck from the day he entered the ring until the end.
Following his victory, the regional head congratulated him, and it was decided to gift him the apartment as a token of appreciation. The boxer was welcomed ceremoniously at the airport upon his return.
The apartment is located in one of the new residential complexes in Urgench. Madrimov expressed his gratitude to the official on his Instagram page, calling it a "wonderful gift."
Prior to this, he had received a presidential gift - a Tahoe car worth 1.04 billion soums. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Pulat Bobojonov, also expedited his promotion to the rank of major.
