This title in Birmingham marks Putintseva's third career title overall and her first on grass. Following this win, she will climb seven spots in the world rankings to 34th place on Monday, June 24th, as announced by the Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan. It is also her first title of the season.
This milestone final on grass at a WTA tournament is a first in Putintseva's career. She secured her place in the final by defeating Italian player Elisabetta Cocciaretto (WTA No. 44) in straight sets with a score of 6:2, 6:2.
