Kyrgyzstani wrestler Zholaman Sharshenbekov has won a gold medal at a tournament in Poland. The federation of this sport in the Kyrgyz Republic announced this on social media.
Competing in the weight category up to 60 kilograms, the wrestler defeated athletes from Algeria and Poland to clinch victory. In the final, he proved stronger than the representative from Ukraine.
Earlier, Akzhol Mahmudov won gold, while Uzur Juzupbekov secured the bronze. Amantur Ismailov and Razzak Beyshekeev chose not to compete against each other in the final. As a result, the former claimed the gold medal and the latter took home the silver.
