Uzbekistan Wins 6 Medals at Judo Grand Slam Tournament in Tashkent

The Uzbekistan team has triumphed at the Tashkent Grand Slam Judo tournament, bringing home a total of 6 medals - 2 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze. The National Olympic Committee's press service announced this outstanding achievement.

Uzbek judokas secured the third spot in the overall team standings, following France and Japan. The tournament saw participation from around 500 athletes representing 68 countries worldwide.

The gold medals were clinched by Doston Ruziev in the -60 kg category and Muzaffarbek Turaboev in the -100 kg category. Gulkhayo Djuraeva claimed the silver in the -52 kg division.

Bronze medals were won by Shahram Akhadov and Obidkhon Numonov in the -73 kg category, and Davlat Bobonov in the -90 kg division. Uzbekistan's success at the tournament showcases the country's growing prowess in the world of judo.
