The Chairman of the Majilis, Erlan Koshanov, announced during a plenary session on March 20th the upcoming parliamentary hearings on the issues raised at the National Kurultai. He emphasized the importance of President Tokayev's speech as a guiding document for the country's spiritual, ideological, and socio-economic development aimed at improving the well-being of the people.

Koshanov highlighted that the President addressed the proposal regarding the current national emblem at the Kurultai, urging for a unified decision through public discussion. This move opens up the emblem issue for public debate, involving experts in heraldry and national symbols.

Regarding legislative matters, Koshanov mentioned that the President instructed the swift consideration of a bill combating ludomania, along with addressing issues related to drug production, vandalism, and legislation concerning archaeology, state symbols, and state awards.

Furthermore, Koshanov stressed the need for parliamentary hearings to collectively define goals and tasks for implementing the specific proposals put forward at the National Kurultai. This initiative aims to align the objectives set forth at the Kurultai with concrete actions for implementation.

On March 15th, President Tokayev proposed updating Kazakhstan's national emblem during the National Kurultai, considering feedback that the current emblem is overly complex and contains elements of the Soviet era. This proposal has sparked discussions on modernizing the emblem in a structured manner.

Additionally, Deputy Erkin Abil informed that discussions on updating the emblem have already commenced and emphasized the importance of conducting these discussions in a civilized manner. The President's call to tighten penalties for synthetic drug production, launch a new housing program, and address the issue of drug addiction further underscores the comprehensive approach to societal challenges discussed at the Kurultai.

The upcoming parliamentary hearings signify a proactive approach towards addressing the key issues outlined by President Tokayev, reflecting a commitment to collective decision-making and progress in Kazakhstan's development trajectory.
