President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors to several foreign countries on March 26, 2024, as reported.
According to the Akorda website, the following individuals were appointed by the head of state:
- Ontalap Serikbaevich Onalbayev as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran;
- Satybaldy Eresovich Burshakov as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to North Macedonia. He was relieved of his duties as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Israel and Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Cyprus concurrently;
- Daulet Tazabekovich Emberdiev as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Israel;
- Kanat Kobylandyuly Tumysh as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Vietnam, appointed as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Cambodia and Laos concurrently;
- Saulkul Saulekuly Saylaukyzy as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Morocco, appointed as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Togo concurrently.
It is also reported that by presidential decree, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Hungary, Zhanibek Zharaskanuly Abdrashov, was relieved of his duties as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to North Macedonia concurrently.
On March 19, 2024, a ceremony was held at the Akorda residence for the presentation of credentials to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev by the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of six countries.
