Former Astana Mayor Altai Kulginov Appointed as Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Estonia

Former mayor of Astana, Altai Kulginov, has been appointed as Kazakhstan's ambassador to Estonia. The corresponding decree was published on March 27, 2024, on the Akorda website.

According to the official statement, "By the decree of the head of state, Altai Seidirovich Kulginov has been appointed as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Estonia."

Kulginov served as the mayor of the city of Uralsk since 2013, then as the mayor of the West Kazakhstan region from 2016. From June 13, 2019, to December 8, 2022, he held the position of mayor of the capital.

In another decree, Nurlan Seitimov has been relieved of his duties as Kazakhstan's ambassador to Estonia. Seitimov, born on July 9, 1964, in the Almaty region, began his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served as the ambassador to Estonia since 2019.

On March 26, 2024, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of Kazakhstan to several foreign countries.
