The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has issued an order on March 18, 2024, approving the state educational grants for the training of personnel with higher or postgraduate education in educational institutions funded from the republican budget for the years 2024-2025, 2025-2026, and 2026-2027.
The state educational grant for personnel with higher education for the academic year 2024-2025 includes the allocation of 78,219 grants, specifically in the fields of:
- Pedagogical Sciences – 13,735 grants
- Information and Communication Technologies – 10,903 grants
- Engineering, Manufacturing, and Construction Industries – 19,344 grants
- Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Statistics – 8,288 grants
- Agriculture and Bioresources – 2,673 grants
- Arts and Humanities – 1,765 grants
- Social Sciences, Journalism, and Information – 1,185 grants
- Business, Management, and Law – 1,323 grants
Additionally, a state order has been allocated for the training of Kazakh citizens from rural youth relocating to regions designated by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in various fields.
Furthermore, grants have been allocated for the education of foreign citizens under international agreements, as well as for specific educational institutions such as the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" and the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) named after I.M. Gubkin.
Moreover, grants have been assigned for students in various educational branches, including the Kazakh branch of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov and the "Voskhod" branch of the Moscow Aviation Institute.
Additionally, grants have been allocated for students at Nazarbayev University, including foreign citizens, as well as for a scholarship program for foreign citizens, including non-Kazakh nationals.
The order also includes grants for training in law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and civil defense.
The order will come into effect on March 26, 2024. This development follows the earlier announcement of the creation of a new position for educators in Kazakhstan.
