Kazakhstan Senate Frees Two Supreme Court Judges from Duty

On April 3, 2024, the Senate deputies relieved two judges of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan from their duties.

According to the Chairman of the Senate, Maulen Ashimbayev, the relevant submission came from the head of state.

"The submission of the head of state on the dismissal of Zhukinov Abdrashit Tolegenovich and Keikibasova Zaure Balgazievna from the positions of judges of the Supreme Court due to retirement is submitted for your consideration. Both have reached retirement age, with extensive work experience - 28 and 31 years, respectively," said Denis Shipp, Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of Kazakhstan.

The deputies supported this submission.

In January 2024, the Senate retired four judges of the Supreme Court.
