President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amending and Supplementing Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Business Conduct."

The law aims to streamline forms of state control and supervision over business entities and improve the conditions for doing business, according to a statement from Akorda.

At the industry level, mechanisms for implementing rapid response measures, conducting investigations, and carrying out preventive control procedures without physically visiting the entities under scrutiny have been defined.

The amendments cover various sectors:

- Fisheries, allowing for artificial fish farming on promising agricultural land plots;

- Plant quarantine, reducing administrative burdens on the movement of pre-quarantine products (abolition of phytosanitary certificates);

- Industry, ensuring domestic raw materials supply to Kazakh processing industries;

- Oil and gas sector, specifying the list of documents confirming the origin of crude oil processing products;

- Financial market, simplifying procedures for businesses interacting with banks;

- Legal entity registration, transitioning to electronic provision of state services for the state registration/re-registration of legal entities and their branches, among others.

"These measures are intended to improve the conditions for entrepreneurial activities, ensure transparency in inspections, and balance the interests of consumers, business entities, and the state," the president's press service stated.
