Kazakh President Tokayev dismisses Deputy Secretary of Security Council

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has relieved Kanat Seydghapbarov from his position as the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan. The news was announced on April 8, 2024, on the Akorda website.

The official document stated, "By the order of the head of state, Kanat Serikovich Seydghapbarov has been relieved of his duties as the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

Kanat Seydghapbarov, born on January 1, 1978, holds a degree in law and economics. He began his career in the prosecutor's office of the South Kazakhstan region in 2000-2001 and later worked at the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan from 2001 to 2016, holding a managerial position in one of the departments from 2011 to 2016.

He then served as the Deputy Head of the Law Enforcement System Department at the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan from 2016 to 2019, and subsequently as the Head of the Law Enforcement System Department at the Security Council of Kazakhstan from 2019 to 2022.

Seydghapbarov was appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan on April 14, 2022.
