in Politics / Kazakhstan - by

On March 6, 2024, the deputies of the Majilis agreed to the amendments proposed by the Senate to the law on business conduct. The document aims to streamline the forms of state control and supervision, reducing the administrative burden on businesses.

Nurtai Sabilyanov, the Chairman of the Committee on Economic Reform and Regional Development of the Majilis, noted that the Senate's amendments are clarifying in nature and do not alter the concept and content of the law adopted by the Majilis. The Senate introduced new additions regarding the accounting of losses in the extraction of solid minerals for the purposes of calculating the mineral extraction tax, adjustments to the proportions within the Unified Payment, specifying the rounding of their sizes to 100%, and outlining the procedures for inspection by law enforcement officers in the absence of official identification.

Overall, the new amendments to the law will ensure the alignment of forms of state control and supervision with the fundamental principles and approaches of the new regulatory policy, introduce new mechanisms for regulating and protecting entrepreneurial activities, reduce the administrative burden on businesses, and consequently, maintain a balance of interests between consumers, entrepreneurs, and the state.
