Kazakhstan and Macao Sign Visa-Free Agreement for 14 Days

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the People's Republic of China, Shahrat Nuryshev, and the Secretary of Administration and Justice of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Chong Weng Chong, have signed an Agreement on mutual visa exemption for up to 14 days.

The news was announced on April 9th. The agreement is set to boost trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and tourism cooperation between the two sides once it goes into effect after completing internal procedures, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

Additionally, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan held talks with the Chief Executive of the Macao SAR, Ho Iat Seng, and the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Lu Xianfa. The discussions revolved around the current state and prospects of interregional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Macao, as well as collaboration within the ongoing "Year of Tourism of Kazakhstan in China."

In January 2024, Kazakhstani citizens were granted visa-free access to Seychelles.
