Today, on April 12, 2024, the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan announced the successful transition of school textbooks into a digital format. According to the ministry, the conversion of school textbooks to digital format is now at 100%.

The digital textbooks have undergone state expertise and have been included in the list of educational and methodological complexes. They are being developed on 11 platforms by 13 publishers in the country.

Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mayra Meldebekova, highlighted the development of methodological recommendations for teachers to incorporate innovative teaching approaches in various disciplines.

Teachers are conducting lessons using modern digital technologies, online communications, differentiation, individualization, and enhancing their knowledge in utilizing online resources.

Furthermore, efforts are underway to establish 1345 modern classrooms for robotics, STEM, chemistry, physics, and biology. By the end of the year, 1072 schools in 20 regions will be equipped with these modern classrooms.

On the previous day, April 11, the Ministry of Education announced the discontinuation of the knowledge assessment system in the form of Summative Assessment for Section (SAS) and Summative Assessment for Quarter (SAQ) for students in the Atyrau and Aktobe regions. The reasons behind this decision can be explored further.
