Kazakh and Tajik Presidents Discuss Strategic Partnership and Flood Support

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a phone conversation with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The leaders exchanged warm greetings on the occasion of the Muslim holiday of Orazai Ait, wishing prosperity for their citizens. President Rahmon expressed support regarding the floods in Kazakhstan and offered assistance. 

President Tokayev thanked him for solidarity, mentioning that the flood situation is under control, with necessary measures being taken. They discussed deepening the Kazakh-Tajik strategic partnership and ensuring the implementation of agreements in political, trade, economic, and cultural spheres. The leaders also exchanged views on the international and regional agenda and scheduled upcoming meetings. 

President Tokayev instructed the development of an efficient mechanism for compensating flood damages and emphasized the importance of preventing price hikes in affected regions. The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure was tasked with coordinating on-site efforts for housing, social infrastructure, and communal facilities restoration.
