Arman Shamshin appointed as the new head of Almaly district in Almaty

Arman Shamshin has been appointed as the new head of the Almaly district in Almaty by the order of the akim of Erbolat Dosayev, in coordination with the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the maslikhat of the city.

The announcement was made on April 15th by the press service of the city's akim.

Arman Shamshin, born in 1986, graduated from the East Kazakhstan State Technical University (Faculty of Economics) and Beijing University (Sociology). He holds a Master of Business Administration degree for executives (Executive MBA) from the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Business.

He began his professional career in 2011 and has held various managerial positions in government agencies and national companies over the years. He served as an advisor at the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning and held the position of managing director at NWF "Baiterek".

Arman Shamshin is fluent in Chinese, English, and Turkish.

Prior to his current appointment, he served as the chairman of the board of JSC "SPK Almaty" from July 2022.

Shamshin succeeded Aidar Zhakibaev in this role, who has now become the head of the akim's office in Almaty.
