The General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan announced on April 18, 2024, that the work to return illegally acquired assets to the state is ongoing.
According to the country's main supervisory body, assets worth 24 billion tenge have been returned to the state following the latest meeting of a special commission led by the Prime Minister.
"The Assets Recovery Committee has replenished a special state fund with 2.2 billion tenge. In accordance with the President's instructions, these funds have been allocated to address the consequences of floods in the country."
Furthermore, the expected future funds will also be directed towards social projects in the affected regions, aligning with the goals of the relevant law.
