On April 18, 2024, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev and Sadyr Japarov attended a gala concert featuring artists from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan at the Palace of Peace and Accord. The event showcased renowned cultural figures from both countries, as well as performers from the Astana Opera, creative groups such as "Gyulder," "Astana Sazy," and "Arkasyr" from Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Telegram channel Akordy, excerpts from the epic "Manas" were recited, along with performances of famous musical pieces representing the two nations. Several choreographic compositions were also presented during the concert.
The message further stated that the concert was attended by members of the official delegation and representatives of Kyrgyzstan's creative intelligentsia. Later that evening, on April 18, President Sadyr Japarov arrived in Kazakhstan for an official visit. He was personally welcomed at the capital's airport by the head of state, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev.
As per Akordy, the visit includes high-level bilateral negotiations and the signing of important documents between the two nations.
