The Ministry of Industry and Construction has prepared a new order titled "On certain issues of regulating the export of certain types of timber materials."
The document aims to develop the domestic timber processing industry of the country and prevent the illegal re-export of timber materials from the territory of the republic.
The draft order is available for public discussion on the Open NPA website until May 6.
Previously, the ban on the export of certain types of timber materials was in effect in Kazakhstan from December 11, 2023. Bans on the export of timber materials have been introduced in Kazakhstan since the end of 2022.
