President of Kazakhstan Appoints New Judges and Officials in Key Positions

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan has recently issued a decree appointing judges to regional courts in three regions and also replaced the head of the Military Court.

According to the decree, Erbol Rakhimbekov has been appointed as the Chairman of the Mangystau Regional Court, with Adilkhan Shaikhislamov taking his place as the Chairman of the Shymkent City Court. Adilkhan Shaikhislamov previously served as the Chairman of the Criminal Division of the Astana City Court.

Furthermore, Aydos Sultanov has been appointed as the Chairman of the Turkestan Regional Court, having previously served as the head of the Criminal Division of the same region.

Additionally, Galymzhan Nasirdinov has been appointed as the Chairman of the Military Court, being relieved of his position as the Chairman of the Civil Division of the Military Court of Kazakhstan.

President Tokayev also appointed Supreme Court Judge Talgat Ibrashev as the Chairman of the Almaty Regional Court.

In another appointment, Judge Nazgul Rakhmetullina of the Supreme Court has been appointed as the Chairman of the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan.

Earlier reports indicated another appointment, with Askhat Berdikhanov being appointed as the akim of Konaev by the akim of the Almaty region. This information was shared by the regional akimat press service on April 19, 2024.
