The Head of State welcomed the Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, as reported by Zakon.kz. The meeting discussed the prospects of energy and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia, according to Akorda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted the unprecedented level reached in Kazakh-Saudi relations. He emphasized the powerful impetus given to bilateral interaction in all sectors through agreements with Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
"We view your visit as a symbol of friendship and close ties between our two countries. I am still very positively impressed by my visit to your great country. The visit was truly successful. We reached agreements on many issues, particularly in the key area of energy cooperation. I am confident in the bright future of our relations. Our cooperation is of a strategic nature. I would like to extend my best wishes to His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman," noted the Head of State.
Earlier, the Minister of Internal Affairs briefed Tokayev on the crime situation in the country.
