Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced on April 25, 2024, that the turquoise passport of Kazakhstan symbolizes high values.

According to him, every passport holder enjoys all the privileges of a Kazakhstani citizen regardless of their ethnic background, views, and beliefs. "Any citizen of Kazakhstan anywhere on the planet is under the protection of our state. We never abandon our citizens in distress."

In addition, the head of state added that the passport is recognized worldwide as a document of a progressive modern state. "Citizens of Kazakhstan can visit dozens of countries without a visa, and this list is constantly growing thanks to our targeted work. Currently, Kazakhstan ranks 66th in the World Passport Index. This is a good indicator."

Moreover, the president stated that in recent years, the number of people wishing to renounce their Kazakhstani citizenship has significantly decreased. "All this is compelling evidence of the sustainable development and attractiveness of our country, its high authority on the international stage."

Earlier at the XXXIII session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan "Unity. Creation. Progress," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev mentioned that the world has entered an era of cataclysms, and Kazakhstan is no exception.

On April 24, the head of state relieved two deputy heads of the National Welfare Fund (NWF) - Akbarzhon Ismailov and Aurika Dyak - from their positions. They were replaced by Lugmar Bularov and Yuri Shin.
