President Tokayev Appoints Kanat Nurov as Kazakhstan's Entrepreneur Rights Commissioner

On April 25, 2024, President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, appointed a commissioner for the protection of entrepreneurs' rights. The appointed official is Kanat Nurov, as reported by the corresponding document published on the Akorda website.

"By the decree of the head of state, Kanat Ilyich Nurov was appointed as the commissioner for the protection of entrepreneurs' rights in Kazakhstan," the official statement said.

Kanat Ilyich Nurov was born in November 1967 in Almaty.

He started his career as the director of the Almaty Management School. He also served as the first deputy general director of Almatytelecom JSC and deputy chief financial officer of Kazakhtelecom JSC.

From 2006 to 2007, he was the managing director of Kazkommertsbank JSC. From 2008 to 2021, he was the president of Plankion Group and the scientific and educational foundation "Aspandau."

From 2021 to 2023, he served as a deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan of the seventh convocation.

In another decree, Rustam Jursunov was relieved of his duties as the commissioner for the protection of entrepreneurs' rights.
