Kazakh President Dismisses Bagdat Musin as Minister in Aerospace Industry

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has relieved Bagdat Musin from the position of Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry. The corresponding decree was published on the Akorda website on April 30, 2024.

According to the official statement, "By the decree of the head of state, Musin Bagdat Batyrbekovich has been relieved of the position of Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

Born on March 3, 1983, in Ekibastuz, Bagdat Musin graduated from the Demirel University and the Kazakh Institute of Jurisprudence and International Relations. He worked in commercial structures until 2004 and then held positions in National Information Technologies JSC and AMANAT-insurance JSC. Over the years, he led National Information Technologies JSC, Kazpost JSC, and the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From March to July 2020, he served as an advisor to the president on digitalization and innovative technologies. Since 2020, he headed the MCRIP.

On April 22, Musin demonstrated how American drones would deliver aid to those affected by floods. He mentioned that these drones would assist in delivering humanitarian aid such as food, medicine, and other essential supplies to the most remote and hard-to-reach areas.
