The Government of Kazakhstan has adopted a resolution dated April 27, 2024, "On certain matters of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
The functions of the department include:
- Ensuring the implementation of state policy in the field of artificial intelligence;
- Development and implementation of regulatory framework in the field of artificial intelligence technologies;
- Intersectoral coordination in the field of artificial intelligence;
- Approval of the composition and regulations of the expert council in the field of artificial intelligence;
- Coordination of documents of the State Planning System in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the development of artificial intelligence.
At the same time, the republican state institution "Committee of Geodesy and Cartography of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan" has been liquidated.
The resolution enters into force from the date of its signing.
It was previously reported that Kazakhstan has developed a five-year Concept for the development of artificial intelligence.
