Restrictions Imposed on Two Highways in Kazakhstan Due to Harsh Weather Conditions

As of 18:00 on March 10, 2024, restrictions have been imposed on two highways of republican significance in two regions of Kazakhstan.

In the Kyzylorda region, one highway with a total length of 204 km is affected by deteriorating weather conditions in the Ulytaus region:

- Kyzylorda - Pavlodar - Kyzylorda city - Ulytaus region (for all types of vehicles).

In the Ulytaus region, one highway with a total length of 208 km is impacted by freezing rain:

- Kyzylorda - Pavlodar - Kyzylorda city - Talap village (for all types of vehicles).

A total of 310 pieces of equipment and 535 personnel are involved in managing the highways of republican significance. Earlier, it was reported that due to a sudden thaw, traffic on the Zhezkazgan - Kyzylorda highway was hindered. The Road and Passenger Transport Management of the Ulytaus region informed that by 12:00 on March 10, 75 vehicles had been towed away.
