Another meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO Member States will take place in the capital of Kazakhstan next Tuesday.
On May 21, 2024, in Astana, under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, another meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO Member States will be held. This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiyarov, during a briefing on May 13.
The event will be attended by the heads of foreign ministries of the SCO Member States, the Secretary-General of the SCO, and the Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) of the SCO.
It is noted that the meeting will include a discussion on the preparation progress for the meeting of the heads of state of the SCO Member States, which will take place in Astana later this year.
"The delegation heads will exchange views on the international and regional situation, security issues, and the development of cooperation within the SCO in political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres," mentioned Aibek Smadiyarov.
Furthermore, the meeting is expected to witness the signing of several decisions related to the final documents of the upcoming summit of the organization, as well as the adoption of an information message.
It was previously announced that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has prepared amendments to the Rules for the acceptance, processing, and consideration of statements by the diplomatic missions of the Republic regarding issues of Kazakhstani citizenship, loss and deprivation of Kazakhstani citizenship, and determination of belonging to Kazakhstani citizenship.
