In the Agency for Countering Corruption, the correspondent was told whether a criminal case was really initiated against the former Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, Bagdat Mussin.
On April 30, Bagdat Mussin left the position of Minister of Digital Development. Following his dismissal, information appeared on the Internet that a criminal case was opened against the former head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry.
However, this information was denied to our correspondent by the Agency for Countering Corruption.
"At present, the Agency for Countering Corruption and its territorial subdivisions do not have criminal cases against the former Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, Mussin Bagdat Batyrbekovich," said the head of the Pre-trial Investigation Service, Kanat Suleimenov, in response to an official request.
It is worth noting that at the end of April, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev relieved Bagdat Mussin of his position as Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry. After his dismissal, the former head of the Ministry wrote a farewell post, in which he personally stated that he had resigned.
On May 2, in the corridors of the Senate, the Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, Askhat Orzabek, commented on the resignation of his former boss, stating that the ministry was unaware of Bagdat Mussin's dismissal until the last moment.
On May 6, the vacant seat of the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry was taken by Zhaslan Madiyev, who was appointed to this position after working as the general manager of "Binance Kazakhstan."
