Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Holds Talks with President of Azerbaijan

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev recently engaged in negotiations with the President of Azerbaijan to discuss the prospects of implementing breakthrough investment projects. These projects are expected to become new growth points for the economies of both Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

According to a statement released on March 11, 2024, the President of Kazakhstan congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his convincing victory in the presidential elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the upcoming hosting of the CIS-29 summit in Baku in 2024.

During the meeting, Tokayev praised the level of Kazakhstani-Azerbaijani cooperation, which is dynamically evolving with new content and joint large-scale projects.

The President of Azerbaijan emphasized the strengthening of fraternal ties with Kazakhstan.

The leaders discussed various aspects of trade, economic, transit-transport, energy, cultural-humanitarian cooperation, as well as collaboration in digitalization, food security, and renewable energy sources, as stated in the official communication.

On the morning of March 11, 2024, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Baku. He was welcomed at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Yagub Eyubov, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Samir Sharifov.

Later, the press service of the head of state released footage of Tokayev's meeting with the President of Azerbaijan.
