Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Ilham Aliyev held a briefing for media representatives. According to Akorda, the President of Kazakhstan referred to Azerbaijan as a strategic partner and highlighted the importance of his visit to Baku. 

Tokayev emphasized the significance of the state visit for further cooperation between the two countries, noting the successful signing of agreements. He praised the strong intergovernmental relations based on friendship, trust, and mutual respect. The interaction between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan sets an example of strategic partnership and alliance. Discussions during the first Joint Council meeting were deemed crucial. 

The focus on transportation and logistics was highlighted, with both countries collaborating closely in this strategic area. The inauguration of a railway route from the port of Xian through Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan was emphasized as a significant event. Joint efforts in digitalization, artificial intelligence, and optic-fiber communication were also discussed as unique projects. 

Tokayev's state visit to Azerbaijan began with a warm welcome at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, followed by a meeting at the Zagulba Presidential Residence. President Aliyev expressed gratitude to Tokayev for his assistance in the reconstruction of Karabakh.
