Chairman of the EEC Collegium, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov held talks in Bishkek on March 12, focusing on the prospects of integration within the EAEU.
The sides discussed ensuring food security, strengthening industrial cooperation, eliminating trade barriers, and digitalizing economic processes. They also explored transport cooperation, emphasizing the development of transport infrastructure in the "East-West" and "North-South" directions to align with China's Belt and Road Initiative.
This will boost logistics within the EAEU. Future joint efforts were outlined in the Declaration on the Further Development of Economic Processes within the EAEU until 2030 and the "Eurasian Economic Path" until 2045. Previously, on February 26, Sagintayev discussed EAEU's future with the President of Belarus.
