The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has prepared a government resolution on the signing of an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand on visa exemption for holders of national passports.
According to the resolution, if citizens of both countries intend to stay on the territory of the other state for more than 30 calendar days, they must obtain the corresponding visa.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the adoption of the project will help foster close cooperation between Kazakhstan and Thailand by establishing mutual visa exemption for holders of national passports.
The document is posted on the Publicly Available Regulatory Legal Acts website for public discussion until March 29.
Previously, the visa-free regime between Thailand and Kazakhstan was in effect from September 25, 2023, to February 29, 2024.
Subsequently, the Thai government approved the visa exemption for Kazakh tourists for an additional 6 months: from March 1 to August 31, 2024.
