The National Kurultai was proposed by President Tokayev on March 16, 2022, during his Address to the people of Kazakhstan, with the aim of continuing the work of national councils at the national level. The decree establishing the Kurultai was signed by the head of state on June 15.
The first meeting of the National Kurultai under the leadership of President Tokayev took place on June 16 in the Ulytau region, followed by the second meeting in the Turkestan region. Now, the upcoming third meeting in Atyrau will continue the important discussions and decision-making processes at the national level.
