The Almaty Region Council has approved changes to the boundaries of Talgar city, reducing the areas of the villages of Kendala and Akdala. The decision, based on the district council's resolution, increases Talgar city's area while decreasing the villages' territories.
Kendala's boundaries have shrunk by 59.2225 hectares, with the new total area being 220.806 hectares. Consequently, Talgar city's boundaries have expanded by 853.1245 hectares, totaling 3268.7500 hectares. The lands of cities, towns, and rural areas are to be used in accordance with their master plans and development projects.
The council's resolution is open for public discussion until April 3rd on the Open NPA website. Talgar, located on the northern slopes of the Zailiysky Alatau, is the administrative center of the Talgar district in the Almaty Region of Kazakhstan, known for its picturesque landscapes. Earlier, the government issued a resolution on changing the boundaries of the Mangystau Region.
