On March 15, 2024, the National Council meeting began under the chairmanship of President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev.
During the event, members of the Council shared their ideas, proposals, and initiatives expressed in the sections.
Kasym-Jomart Tokayev started his speech by congratulating everyone on the holiday of Kórisu Kúni.
"In this day, after a long winter, relatives and loved ones who have successfully survived the winter come together. It is a common belief that celebrating Kórisu Kúni is typical of the western regions of the country. However, we should not forget that this is an ancient tradition of our people that dates back centuries. Therefore, it would be right if the whole country starts celebrating Nauryz with Kórisu Kúni."
Kasym-Jomart Tokayev also highlighted that the National Council meeting is taking place on the eve of Nauryz, a holiday symbolizing the awakening of nature and life. He emphasized that Council meetings contribute to the development and strengthening of progressive societal values.
"Renewal and modernization always pave the way for a better future," concluded Kasym-Jomart Tokayev.
