President Tokayev Calls on Wealthy Kazakhs to Build Schools and Hospitals Alongside Mosques

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during the third session of the National Council on March 15, 2024, urged affluent Kazakhs to not only build mosques but also schools and other social facilities. The head of state acknowledged the businessmen in Kazakhstan who finance social projects and participate in charitable and volunteer initiatives.

While recognizing the noble intentions of businessmen who fund the construction of mosques in regions, President Tokayev emphasized the importance of also constructing new schools, dormitories, hospitals, libraries, museums, and sports complexes. He stressed the significance of future generations appreciating and being grateful for such concrete actions. The President called on business leaders to demonstrate activity and social responsibility, assisting fellow citizens whenever possible.

President Tokayev highlighted that fostering a truly new national bourgeoisie, capable of building a competitive economy and serving the people honestly, would be achievable through such endeavors. The President's remarks came during the commencement of the third National Council in Atyrau, where he emphasized the necessity of strengthening national unity.
