President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced on March 15, 2024, the location for the upcoming National Kurultai. The third National Kurultai has concluded, where the President addressed various aspects of Kazakhstan's life.
Tokayev explained the decision to hold the event in Atyrau and touched upon societal issues and important political changes, including religion, combating drug crimes, reducing gambling among youth, and banning vapes in the country.
The President emphasized the significance of holding such events in regions to boost their development. He mentioned historical figures like Kassym Khan in Sarayshyq, Abylay Khan in Burabay, and proposed holding the fourth National Kurultai in Kokshetau next year.
President Tokayev had previously urged wealthy Kazakhs to invest in building schools and hospitals, not just mosques.
