Kazakh junior gymnasts recently won the bronze medal at the Espoo AGG Cup tournament for aesthetic group gymnastics in Finland. The team, comprised of Aisha Mukhitbekova, Raiana Albekova, Varvara Kondratenko, Darina Nakyip, Islana Ruslankyzy, Alnur Bolatbek, Liliya Yun, Sofia Yun, and Adina Orynba, was coached by Ayaulym Akmurzina.
The competition saw participation from 55 teams representing 12 countries, with Finnish teams claiming the top two spots. This event marked the Kazakh gymnasts' first international competition of the season, where they unveiled a new routine. They are currently gearing up for the 2024 Asian Championships in Hong Kong this October.
Previously, Kazakh athletes excelled at the Aphrodite Cup 2024 international tournament in Greece, bringing home three gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.
