Kyrgyz judoka Erlan Sherov won a bronze medal at the World Judo Championship held in the UAE. The news was announced by the Judo Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic on Instagram.
In the weight category up to 90 kilograms, with 50 athletes competing, Sherov secured three victories to advance to the semifinals. However, he was defeated by Goki Tadzima from Japan.
Following the championship, the Olympic ranking will be finalized, determining the participants of the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.
