Sambo fighters from Kyrgyzstan have successfully competed at the Youth Asian and Oceanian Championship in Aktau, Kazakhstan. The federation of this sport reported that athletes from Kyrgyz Republic won a total of 9 gold medals, 7 silver, and 22 bronze medals.
In the team standings, the national teams of Kyrgyzstan are in the first place among juniors and youth, and in the second place among cadets. The champions include Aslan Karabekov, Artur Sansyzbekov, Emirhan Zholdoshkaziev, Azamat Temirbekov, Nikita Voroshilin, Talip Kasymbayev, Louisa Asakeyeva, Bakhriddin Yunusov, and Erbol Abalbekov.
The federation emphasized that this is the best result in the history of performances by our national team. The tournament saw the participation of 500 athletes from 25 countries.
