Almukhammet Kakaliev, a Turkmen karateka, won a bronze medal in kumite among boys under 14 years old in the weight category up to 55 kg at the international tournament of the World Series "Youth Karate League" held in Spain under the auspices of the World Karate Federation. This was reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
A total of 3035 athletes aged 12 to 20 from 70 countries participated in the competition. The athletes competed for medals in the tournament and ranking points to participate in the IV Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2026 in Dakar.
Turkmenistan was represented at the tournament by 21 athletes, 2 coaches, and 6 international-class judges.
Almukhammet had previously trained under the coach of the sports school of the Ak Bugday etrap of the Ahal velayat, Maxat Atdaev. Currently, he is training under the guidance of the head coach of the Turkmenistan national team, 5th dan black belt holder Aydyn Chariev.
