Muhamet Kuatbek, a talented Kazakh wrestler, clinched victory in the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in the 54 kg weight category. In the same year, he secured a bronze medal at the World Championship among youth in the 58 kg division. His achievements continued in 2016, winning another bronze at the Asian Junior Championship in the 55 kg weight class.

The young athlete tragically passed away in the USA, prompting the need for his repatriation. Kuatbek's sporting journey was marked by dedication and success, culminating in a silver medal at the 2017 Asian Junior Championship in the 55 kg category, where he faced Uzbek wrestler Jahongirmirza Turobov in the final match.
