Ministry of Tourism and Sport Discusses Cooperation with World Confederation of Ethnosports

The Ministry of Tourism and Sport announced that Ermek Marzhikpaev, the head of the agency, held a meeting with Bilal Erdogan, the President of the World Confederation of Ethnosports, at the executive directorate of the organizing committee of the V World Nomad Games in Astana. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss various aspects of the upcoming games, including expanding the participation of countries, attracting sponsors, organizing international telecasts, and facilitating the air transportation of athletes. Marzhikpaev and Erdogan signed a memorandum of understanding during the meeting.

The World Confederation of Ethnosports is currently one of the fastest-growing sports organizations globally. Marzhikpaev praised the Confederation for becoming a co-organizer of the V World Nomad Games and expressed confidence in the successful execution of the event with broad participation from countries. He also lauded the high level of organization of the IV World Nomad Games in Izmir, Turkey, in 2022, which featured over 3000 athletes from 102 countries.

The suggestion to host the next World Nomad Games was proposed to be included in the agenda of the Meeting of Ministers of Youth and Sports of Turkic States. Marzhikpaev stated that the organizing committee of the games is prepared to welcome a delegation from the World Confederation of Ethnosports for official events. Erdogan confirmed his readiness to provide full support for the successful conduct of the V World Nomad Games.
