Skatov reached the semifinals after a tense quarterfinal match against Austrian player Sandro Kopp. The game ended with a score of 4:6, 6:3, 6:4 in favor of the Kazakh athlete, lasting 2 hours and 28 minutes.
Despite facing some challenges during the match, Skatov showcased a high level of skill, committing only one double fault with four successful serves. Earlier, it was reported that Kazakh tennis players had a strong start in the Challenger series tournaments. Dmitry Popko had a good start in Merida, while Denis Yevseev began his performance in Murcia with a victory.
