From April 8 to 10, a super tournament will take place in the capital of Kazakhstan, where Kazakh boxers will compete for a chance to secure their Olympic dreams. The list of contenders for the final Olympic qualification in the 63.5 kg weight category, which will be held in Thailand, was published by sports commentator Walikhan Kosanbai on his Facebook page on the night of March 28.
Participants in the Astana super tournament will include Dulat Bekbayev, Ertugan Zeynullinov, Muhammedsabyr Bazarbayuly, Serik Temirzhanov, Zhandos Kydyraliyev, and Torekhan Sabyrkhan. The day before, Kazakh boxer Timur Kabdeshov sensationally made it to the final of a tournament in Baku.
