In the semi-finals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami on March 29th, Kazakhstan's top seed Elena Rybakina faced off against Victoria Azarenka from Belarus.
In a thrilling match, the Wimbledon 2022 champion and world number four, Elena Rybakina, secured victory over Azarenka in three sets with a score of 6-4, 0-6, 7-6. After losing the second set, Rybakina managed to stage a comeback in the third set, winning the tie-break 7-2.
This marks Rybakina's fourth victory in four matches against Azarenka in their personal matchups.
Next, Elena Rybakina will compete for the title in Miami against the winner of today's match between Ekaterina Alexandrova (Russia) and Danielle Collins (USA).
