On April 2, 2024, the football club "Shakhter" announced the departure of their head coach, 44-year-old Kazakh specialist Igor Soloshenko.

According to the club's press service, Igor Soloshenko resigned voluntarily. Andrey Finonchenko has been appointed as the acting head coach of the main team.

Soloshenko's departure was expected, as the Karaganda team is currently at the bottom of the KPL-2024 championship, having lost all three games in the new season.

In other news, Gani Kaynazarov has been appointed as the vice president of the Qazaqstan Football League. His role involves overseeing all sports activities within the league, organizing competitions, engaging with clubs, and ensuring compliance with regulations to maintain a fair gaming environment.

Gani Kaynazarov has a strong background in football, having played for various clubs and the national team before moving into managerial positions. He has been working in football management since retiring from playing, with his most recent role being the director of the national teams department at KFF since March 11, 2022.
