On April 21, 2024, the seventh Almaty Half Marathon will take place, a traditional event for Almaty that attracts more participants from different countries each year. This year, 8,000 people from over 30 countries will take part, ready to test their abilities.

The Almaty Half Marathon is the second largest running event in Kazakhstan after the Almaty Marathon. The mission of the "Courage to Be First" foundation goes beyond organizing sports events. The foundation has become a well-known brand, recognized for its high standards in organizing races. This year, the Almaty Marathon introduced a new identity and updated its five-year strategy. The new logo consists of multiple lines, each representing different speeds, distances, and rhythms of running, reflecting the diversity and inclusivity of the foundation's events that bring together people of different ages, genders, and physical abilities.

"This year, we proudly host the World Championship in Running for Athletes with Intellectual Disabilities. Kazakhstan will be the first country in Central Asia to host this prestigious competition. From the very beginning of our activities, we have focused on developing inclusivity. We firmly believe that sports are an integral part of everyone's life, regardless of age, level of preparation, or physical abilities. That's why we aim to make running accessible to all, without exception," noted Saltanat Kazibaeva, the Executive Director of the "Courage to Be First" foundation.
